Congratulations to STIR lab student Mamtaj Akter on passing her Qualifying Review (QR) for Ph.D. in Computer Science this Fall! The Qualifying Review is the first milestone in the Ph.D. program in which the Graduate Committee evaluates the research and coursework progress of the student. Mamtaj continues to work on her dissertation research at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, adolescents’ online safety, and usable privacy & security to complete the subsequent milestone, the Candidacy Examination. The STIR Lab wishes Mamtaj the best as she continues her research.
