Dr. Pamela Wisniewski is co-organizing the CSCW 2026 workshop, “Where Does Privacy Research Go From Here? Navigating the Challenges and Paths Forward,” taking place on October 10, 2026.
The workshop brings together privacy researchers, practitioners, policymakers, advocates, and other stakeholders to identify major challenges facing privacy research and help shape a future research agenda for the community. Topics include improving privacy theories and methods, responding to rapidly evolving technologies, navigating diverse privacy perspectives, and increasing the societal impact of privacy research.
The workshop aims to foster new collaborations while developing a roadmap of important gaps, challenges, and future directions for privacy research.
