Wisniewski Joins ICSI
Dr. Pamela Wisniewski has joined the International Computer Science Institute (ICSI) as a Principal Research Scientist. She is also the Founder and Director of the Socio-Technical Interaction Research (STIR) Lab and Teenovate.
Wisniewski’s interdisciplinary research lies at the intersection of social computing, privacy, and adolescent online safety, combining computer science, social science, and human-centered design to develop technologies that better support young people and other vulnerable users.
She has authored more than 200 peer-reviewed publications and received $6.04 million in external research funding, including an NSF CAREER Award. Her work has also received multiple best paper and honorable mention awards at ACM SIGCHI conferences.
At ICSI, Wisniewski continues her research on adolescent online risk detection, co-designed online safety, AI tools to empower adolescents, and reducing digital inequality.
