AI x Child Safety Fellowship

The Socio-Technical Interaction Research (STIR) Lab at ICSI is excited to announce that Dr. Prakriti Dumaru, Postdoctoral Research Scientist, has been selected for the AI x Child Safety Fellowship, co-organized with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF)!

Dumaru was selected from a competitive applicant pool spanning 30+ countries across 6 continents. The fellowship runs from October 10 to November 14, 2026, bringing together an international cohort of fellows to explore the intersection of artificial intelligence and child safety.

Her participation aligns closely with her ongoing research at STIR Lab on human-centered and responsible AI, youth online safety, and developmentally appropriate AI safeguards. Through this fellowship, Dumaru looks forward to exchanging perspectives with an international community working toward safer and more empowering AI experiences for children and adolescents.

Congratulations, Prakriti, on this exciting opportunity! 🎉
