“Kids making threats at school is nothing new, what’s so concerning now is the speed and scale others on social media promote these behaviors,” Dr. Wisniewski talks to FOX 35 about a recent incident in Florida involving an 11 years boy who fabricated bomb threat because of TikTok.
The middle schooler might face significant charges due to issuing a false bomb threat while in class. The student confessed to being influenced by a seeming trend on TikTok.
“It’s really important that we don’t just try to stick our heads in the sand or think that it’s going to go away or think that we can completely restrict it altogether,” Wisniewski added.
