Congratulations to STIR Lab Ph.D. Candidate Kevin Pfiel on successfully defending his dissertation proposal on “Balancing User Experience Between Streamer and Viewer in Mobile Human-to-Human Telepresence”. Kevin did an excellent job presenting his work so far and plan to complete his dissertation, and the STIR Lab wishes him the best of luck in completing his dissertation!

Kevin’s dissertation discusses the positives and negatives of adding more hardware and technology to a person to enhance the live-streaming experience for a viewer. Some of the proposed hardware can be seen here, in an image taken from Kevin’s proposal defense.
